Bellefonte has gone 8-2 against Hollidaysburg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Raiders will venture away from home to take on the Golden Tigers at 4:30 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
On Monday, Bellefonte needed a bit of extra time to put away Philipsburg-Osceola. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mountaineers, sneaking past 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted since April 22, 2024.
Zach Lehman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season.

In other batting news, Evan Mattern was excellent, going 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Braeden Fortney, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Hollidaysburg nor Richland made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Golden Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Rams. Winning may never get old, but the Golden Tigers sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Hollidaysburg's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bellefonte, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Bellefonte might still be hurting after the 13-3 defeat they got from Hollidaysburg in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
