The Myrtle Point Bobcats will take on the Toledo Boomers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Myrtle Point's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
On Friday, Myrtle Point made easy work of Waldport and carried off a 13-3 victory. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Irish recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Skyler Zick was a standout: he went 1-for-4 with four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bryson Detzler, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Toledo fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Reedsport on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of Reedsport by a score of 9-7. The Boomers' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Connor Mason put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in March. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
In other batting news, Kolby Coxen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.
Myrtle Point pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Toledo, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Myrtle Point hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .313. However, it's not like Toledo struggles in that department as they've averaged .340. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Myrtle Point took their victory against Toledo in their previous meeting on April 1st by a conclusive 9-2 score. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Boomers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
