Atlantic is 5-0 against West Boca Raton since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Atlantic Eagles will be playing at home against the West Boca Raton Bulls at 6:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Atlantic sitting on five straight wins and West Boca Raton on three.
Last Friday, Atlantic didn't have too much trouble with Santaluces at home as they won 44-28. Given Atlantic's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Santaluces is ranked 181st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lincoln Graf was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 159 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Jadarius Patterson was another key contributor, gaining 79 total yards and two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Atlantic's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. Marlon Huff was especially locked on to Santaluces' QB and sacked him twice.
Meanwhile, West Boca Raton can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 40-0 victory over Olympic Heights.
West Boca Raton found their leader in underclassman Mason Mallory, who threw for 237 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Branden Hoch, who picked up 86 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Atlantic has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 9-1 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.9 points per game. As for West Boca Raton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
Atlantic beat West Boca Raton 12-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2020. Will Atlantic repeat their success, or does West Boca Raton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
