Softball Recap: Kingman/Norwich Extends Winning Streak to Three

Kingman/Norwich entered their tilt with Douglass on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 6-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-3 back in April.

Caylor Helm spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, Teagan Dick was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Addyson Belt, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Kingman/Norwich's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Douglass, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-11.

Coming up, Douglass will venture away from home to face off against Kingman at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kingman/Norwich will be paying especially close attention to the Bulldogs' game: after the Bulldogs face off against the Eagles, they'll take on Kingman/Norwich again at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
