It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Tomahawk had no problem doing just that  on Friday. They blew past the Spencer/Columbus Rockets 34-12. The result was nothing new for the Hatchets, who have now won six matchups by 21  points or more  so far this season.
 Tiegan Sarazin had a dynamite game, rushing for 100 yards and a pair of  scores.
 Tomahawk's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB  three times. In that department,  Ethan Gibeault was the leader with two sacks.
The  win was  the fifth in a row for Tomahawk, bringing their record up to 10-1. As for Spencer/Columbus, they moved to 6-5 with that  loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
 Looking ahead, Tomahawk will host Stratford  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams have allowed few  points on average (the Hatchets 11.1, the Tigers 12.6) so any  points scored will be well earned. Spencer/Columbus does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
