If the Robinson Knights were riding high off their 60-38 takedown of the Tampa Bay Tech Titans last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Robinson fell to the Terriers 56-50. If Robinson was looking for revenge after losing 62-38 to them when the teams met on Monday, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Robinson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Annie Keith, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Keith has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 15 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Natalie Ashburn, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and five blocks.
Hillsborough got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kai Martin out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Deana Epps, who scored 20 points along with four steals.
Robinson's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Hillsborough, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-7.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Spoto the next time they take the court. Hillsborough will head out to face Spoto at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Robinson will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
