The Fairfax HomeSchool Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. The New Year welcomed they with a 87-52 whooping from Evergreen Christian.
Evergreen Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Matthew Shelton, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The matchup was Shelton's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cole Forbrich, who scored 22 points along with five assists.
Fairfax HomeSchool bumped their record down to 10-5 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Evergreen Christian, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
Fairfax HomeSchool will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Virginia Academy at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Virginia Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 two weeks ago. As for Evergreen Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Rosedale Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
