The biggest upset of the week belonged to Woodcreek, who took down 395th ranked Woodcreek, 49-42.
Roseville moved up to 405 from 437 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Sierra Foothill. The Tigers were able to make move up by besting the Timberwolves 49-42.
Rocklin's dynamic duo of Logan Webb and Spencer Gregg proved tough for Del Oro to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Webb threw for 324 yards and four touchdowns and Gregg had 168 yards receiving. Cory Burmester helped Rocklin's passing attack out by catching seven balls for 77 yards.
BRANDON MONROE was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 31 carries, he ran for 193 yards as the Golden Eagles fell to the Golden Eagles. MARK LEVERON also contributed to the rushing game with 16 yards on the ground.
MONROE made the biggest impact on defense this week as Del Oro topped Rocklin. The 6-foot-1 senior pulled down one interception.
Nevada Union's Kyle Cota and Ian Davis have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Cota has thrown for 2384 yards this season, while Davis, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 70 catches for 1237 yards. John Cooley from Granite Bay leads the league in rushing with 937 yards.
The Grizzlies' Cooley is a mere 63 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season.
Going into this week's game against Antelope, Greg Benzel's team's Webb needs 59 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season. So far this year, Webb has thrown for 1941 yards with 26 touchdowns and four interceptions.
Granite Bay extended the longest winning streak in Sierra Foothill this week by beating the Miners, 38-7. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
