Brandon Smith Has Career-Day on Friday
Starting off the list is Central's Brandon Smith, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Smith rushed for 212 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played.

Clovis North Wins Third-Straight Thanks to Jackson Cinfel
Clovis North picked up their third consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jackson Cinfel. Cinfel showed up in a big way, rushing for 160 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (100.3).
Clovis North has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Cinfel and Clovis North will welcome Clovis West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
