Football Recap: Kenesaw Takes a Loss

Kenesaw lost against Wilcox-Hildreth back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Blue Devils lost to the Falcons at home by a 36-18 margin. The contest marked the Blue Devils' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Kenesaw lost, don't look at Adam Denkert. Despite the final result, he rushed for 112 yards and a pair of TDs. Denkert's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 112 rushing yards.

Wilcox-Hildreth's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brody Patterson, who rushed for 111 yards and three scores on only 15 carries. Those 111 rushing yards gave Patterson a new career-high. Thomas Donley was another key player, picking up 115 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

This is the second loss in a row for Kenesaw and nudges their season record down to 2-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 4-2 Elm Creek (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 61.9% over those games). As for Wilcox-Hildreth, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Kenesaw will square off against Blue Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils will be up against the Bobcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Wilcox-Hildreth, they will face off against Elm Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Buffaloes have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.
