The Flowing Wells Caballeros have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 22 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Catalina 71-15 at home. Winning may never get old, but Flowing Wells sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Flowing Wells' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jada Camacho, who scored seven points along with eight steals. Those eight steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Brianna Potter, who scored ten points.
Flowing Wells has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Catalina, they bumped their record down to 1-8 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Flowing Wells will stay at home for another game and welcome Nogales at 7:30 p.m. on December 28, 2023. As for Catalina, they will head out on the road to face off against The Gregory School at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Gregory School is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
