Alamo Navajo will look to defend their home turf on Thursday against Pine Hill at 6:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps national rankings project a close contest.
After having lost a blowout to Dora in their previous game, Alamo Navajo were happy to find some success last Saturday. Alamo Navajo were fully in charge, breezing past Navajo Pine 50-0. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (44) and coasted on those for the win.
Meanwhile, Pine Hill had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They took a serious blow against Foothill, falling 0-54.
Alamo Navajo's victory lifted them to 1-1 while Pine Hill's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll see if Alamo Navajo's success rolls on or if Pine Hill are able to steal their positive momentum.
