Tyler Groves gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in April of 2024 on Monday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Groves' strong effort led Waynesburg Central over Washington and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
