Softball Recap: Rowlett Has No Trouble Against Lakeview Centennial

While Rowlett put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Lakeview Centennial. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Patriots. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

McKenna Hallman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Baylee Grant was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and four RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Julissa Casta?eda was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-3.

Rowlett was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .586. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in seven consecutive games.

Rowlett's victory bumped their record up to 12-14-1. As for Lakeview Centennial, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season.
