Volleyball Recap: Freedom Has No Trouble Against Concord

Freedom had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Concord Bears on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win didn't come easy: Concord scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 25-19.

Mateo Zelaya paced Freedom's offense, picking up eight kills. Zelaya got some help from Devin Sandoval and his 12 assists. Sandoval was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

The victory got Freedom back to even at 3-3. As for Concord, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Freedom didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Acalanes on the 5th. As for Concord, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Berean Christian on the 4th.
