The Chopticon Braves fell victim to the Great Mills Hornets''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Hornets on the road and fell 30-0. Chopticon was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Great Mills apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
Great Mills was led to victory by Donovan Bryan and Jameson Dyson. Bryan rushed for 148 yards, while Dyson threw for 93 yards and two touchdowns. Javon Barnes got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Chopticon's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Great Mills, their victory bumped their record up to 4-4.
Chopticon will be playing at home against Leonardtown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Great Mills, they will head out on the road to face off against Lackey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Lackey is ranked 80th, while Great Mills is ranked 61st).
