Durand is 1-7 against Scales Mound since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Durand Bulldogs on the road again and play against the Scales Mound Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Durand focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Monday.
Durand lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Monday was a bit more commanding. They were dealt a 57-30 loss at the hands of Lena-Winslow. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Durand has suffered yet this season.
Durand's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ethan Rager, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds, and Nathan Folk who scored 11 points along with three steals. Rager hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for ten straight games.
Meanwhile, Scales Mound waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They managed a 66-60 victory over River Ridge. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Durand's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Scales Mound, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.
Durand took a serious blow against Scales Mound when the teams last played back in January of 2022, falling 74-44. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Durand was down 37-10.
