Bainbridge is 0-4 against the Hawks since January of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Bainbridge Bearcats will head out on the road to take on the Hardaway Hawks at 3:00 p.m. Bainbridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Hawks are ranked 44th).
Bainbridge lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Wednesday was a bit more commanding. They had to suffer through a rough 55-21 loss at the hands of Colquitt County. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bainbridge has scored all season.
Despite their defeat, Bainbridge saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Miyah Williams, who scored eight points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Z'riah Solomon, who scored four points along with five rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Bainbridge struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Colquitt County racked up nine assists.
Meanwhile, Hardaway entered their tilt with the Raiders with 16 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 17. Hardaway breezed by the Raiders at home to the tune of 67-26 on Friday. Hardaway has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 contests by 23 points or more this season.
This is the second loss in a row for Bainbridge and nudges their season record down to 7-15. As for Hardaway, they pushed their record up to 20-4 with that victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.
