Cedar Ridge is 8-2 against Vista Ridge since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Cedar Ridge Raiders will look to defend their home court against the Vista Ridge Rangers at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Cedar Ridge is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Vista Ridge in Texas (Cedar Ridge is ranked 217th, while Vista Ridge is ranked 674th).
Cedar Ridge scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with a 75-66 victory over McNeil. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Peyton Dulin was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 38 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob McGill, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Vista Ridge's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by Round Rock 71-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Vista Ridge has suffered since November 28, 2023.
Despite the loss, Vista Ridge got a solid performance out of Brycen Rhodes, who scored 17 points. Gavin Howard was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Cedar Ridge now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Vista Ridge, they bumped their record down to 6-20 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's matchup: Cedar Ridge have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 5.2 threes per game. It's a different story for Vista Ridge, though, as they've been averaging only 4.1 threes per game. Given Cedar Ridge's sizeable advantage in that area, Vista Ridge will need to find a way to close that gap.
