The Holy Cross Lancers were the 54-34 winner over the Pennsauken Indians when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Holy Cross fell to Pennsauken 51-46. Holy Cross has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Holy Cross still got an impressive performance from Emmanuel Doku, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 18 rebounds. The game was Doku's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Samir Wellington, who scored 17 points.
Holy Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Pennsauken, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Holy Cross will finish 2023 at home by hosting Varsity Opponent at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pennsauken will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against KIPP Cooper Norcross at 1:00 p.m. on December 30th.
