The Massanutten Military Academy Colonels's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They received a tough blow as they fell 36-21 to Mountain View Christian Academy. Massanutten Military Academy lost against Mountain View Christian Academy in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 46-45 score last time.
Mountain View Christian Academy was led to victory by Taylor Spiewak and Eryn Demko. Spiewak scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals, while Demko scored 14 points along with nine steals and five rebounds. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for Spiewak.
Massanutten Military Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mountain View Christian Academy, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Massanutten Military Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wakefield Country Day at 4:30 p.m. on January 12, 2024. Wakefield Country Day comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Mountain View Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Independence at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
