The Alta Vista Charter Lobos will head out on the road to face off against the Ajo Red Raiders at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Wednesday, Alta Vista Charter lost to Western SciTech at home by a decisive 45-28 margin.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Lorena Chavez, who scored 10 points. She scored a full 35.7% of Alta Vista Charter's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Julianys Jimenez was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Meanwhile, Ajo was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 35-31 to Tohono O'Odham. Ajo has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Their wins bumped Alta Vista Charter to 1-2 and Western SciTech to 2-0.
