The Bayard Tigers have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 50-38 win over Minatare on Thursday. That 12 points margin sets a new team best for Bayard this season.
Connor Cochran had an outrageously good game as he scored 16 points along with six assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Caleb Leonard, who scored six points along with five assists.
Bayard's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Minatare, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bayard will take on Bridgeport at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bridgeport will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Minatare, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Leyton on January 26th.
