The Victory Christian Academy Soldiers's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 59-47 victory over Crossroads Christian Academy. The victory was just what Victory Christian Academy needed coming off of a 66-24 defeat in their prior contest.
Chris Belcher was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nelson Palacios, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
The victory got Victory Christian Academy back to even at 5-5. As for Crossroads Christian Academy, they bumped their record down to 0-9 with that loss, which was their 12th straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Victory Christian Academy will take on Southside Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crossroads Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Appling Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Appling Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
