The Treutlen Vikings waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They breezed by Jenkins County at home to the tune of 64-37. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Treutlen has posted since December 2, 2023.
JaNerriah Lovett was on fire: she scored 30 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaleria Miller, who scored 16 points.
Treutlen has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Jenkins County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Treutlen will take on Hawkinsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hawkinsville is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Jenkins County, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Montgomery County at 6:00 p.m. Montgomery County will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
