Gavin Hardeman Dazzles in Lyons-Decatur Northeast Loss
Starting off the list is Lyons-Decatur Northeast's Gavin Hardeman, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Hardeman rushed for 248 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Those 248 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Unfortunately for Bancroft-Rosalie, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Hardeman. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Hardeman saw the Panthers), he rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.

Buchholz Made His Presence Known in Bancroft-Rosalie's 54-42 Victory
Nick Buchholz was instrumental in extending Bancroft-Rosalie's winning streak to seven on Friday. Nobody could stop Buchholz as he threw for 277 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 37 yards and two touchdowns.
Unfortunately for Lyons-Decatur Northeast, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Buchholz. When Buchholz last faced the Cougars back in September of 2023, he rushed for 42 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 135 yards and a touchdown on only ten passes.

Bancroft-Rosalie Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Graysen Briggs
Graysen Briggs was instrumental in extending Bancroft-Rosalie's winning streak to seven on Friday. Briggs was dynamite, rushing for 108 yards and a touchdown. His longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.
Lyons-Decatur Northeast's probably not too fond of Briggs given he always seems to get the better of them. When Briggs last faced the Cougars back in September of 2023, he rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.

Bancroft-Rosalie picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Braylon Wegner. Wegner was dynamite, picking up 142 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Unfortunately for Lyons-Decatur Northeast, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Wegner. Wegner picked up 108 receiving yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Cougars duked it out back in September of 2023.

Landen Cooper Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Lyons-Decatur Northeast had to settle for second even though Landen Cooper put up the best numbers he has all season. Cooper rushed for 221 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.5 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 52 yards.
On the season, Cooper has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 125.6 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 68.57 rushing yards per game.
