After flying high against the Eastside Early College Panthers last Tuesday, the Crockett Cougars came back down to earth. Crockett fell just short of Northeast Early College by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Crockett couldn't push the score so high this time.
Crockett's loss dropped their record down to 2-8-2. As for Northeast Early College, their win bumped their record up to 8-2-1.
Crockett will head out on the road to face off against LBJ Austin at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Northeast Early College, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Navarro at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Navarro's last six games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
