Belleville has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Southfield Arts & Tech Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Belleville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 games -- so hopefully Southfield Arts & Tech likes a good challenge.
Belleville extended their postseason success on Saturday against Davison. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cardinals 63-21 at home. The result was nothing new for Belleville, who have now won 12 games by 27 points or more so far this season.
Colbey Reed went supernova for Belleville, rushing for 220 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries. Reed was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 66 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Underwood, who threw for 198 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Southfield Arts & Tech faced West Bloomfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Southfield Arts & Tech managed a 40-35 victory over West Bloomfield on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but Southfield Arts & Tech sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Belleville has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 13-0 record. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 41.2 points. As for Southfield Arts & Tech, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.
