The Nixa Eagles stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by Neosho on the road to the tune of 80-49. That's another feather in the cap for Nixa, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Neosho lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Colton Southern, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Collier Hendricks, who scored nine points along with five assists.
Neosho struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Nixa has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Neosho, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
Nixa will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Joplin is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. Neosho will take on the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Branson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully the Wildcats like a good challenge.
