Enloe is 0-10 against Broughton since May of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Eagles will challenge the Capitals at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Enloe turned things around against Hillside on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 9-5.

Enloe got a great performance from Jakob McCaleb as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. McCaleb also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Eagles are 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-8 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on William Loyek, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jacob Ly'Jordan, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one run.
Broughton came out on top against Willow Spring on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Capitals put the hurt on the Storm with a sharp 8-2 victory. The Capitals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.
Carson Carroll made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other pitching news, Cooper Wall looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, Matthew Solomon was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Mason Hawkins was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Enloe's record now sits at 5-9. As for Broughton, their record is now 11-4.
Enloe suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Broughton in their previous matchup on Tuesday. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
