The Chazy Eagles were the 53-44 winner over the Keene Central Beavers when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Chazy's tough 78-52 defeat to Keene Central on Friday might stick with them for a while. Chazy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Keene Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Vann Morrelli, who scored 27 points. Another player making a difference was Asa Sprague, who scored 23 points.
Chazy's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Keene Central, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chazy will square off against Bolton Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Bolton Central will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Chazy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Keene Central, they will head out on the road to square off against Schroon Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
