The struggle was real when Osmond and Wynot clashed on Friday, but the former ultimately edged out the latter 38-36. The success made it back-to-back wins for Osmond.
Wynot's defeat came about despite a quality game from senior Nate Wieseler, who picked up 79 yards on the ground and snatched 2 receiving TDs. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse sophomore John Lauer, who racked up 10 tackles.
The win bumped Osmond's record up to 2-0. The loss dropped Wynot's record to 1-2.
Next week Osmond take on Laurel-Concord-Coleridge at 7:00 PM. Wynot will have some time to rest before their next match, which is against Wausa in two weeks at 7:00 PM. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up.
