The Legacy Charter Eagles proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 39) but on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Faith Christian and snuck past 59-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Legacy Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emanuel Longchamp, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Longchamp scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Richmond, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Legacy Charter now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Faith Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.
Legacy Charter will be playing at home against East Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Ridge is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Faith Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Trinity Prep at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th.
