The Albany Academy for Boys Cadets lost against the Kingswood Oxford Wyverns back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Albany Academy for Boys lost to Kingswood Oxford at home by a decisive 41-24 margin.
Kingswood Oxford's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Stephen Bailey led the charge by throwing for 246 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Rhandyn Bair, who picked up 133 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Kingswood Oxford's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Chief Ebana and his two sacks.
Albany Academy for Boys has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Kingswood Oxford, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Albany Academy for Boys will face off against Austin Prep at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Austin Prep is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Kingswood Oxford will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on New Hampton School at 4:30 p.m. on November 11th.
