It was a good run, but the Medomak Valley Panthers unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 57-47 to Oceanside. Medomak Valley has not had much luck with Oceanside recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
It was another big night for Zeb Foster, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds for Oceanside. The team also got some help courtesy of Cohen Galley, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Medomak Valley's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-2. As for Oceanside, their victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0.
Medomak Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maine (Lincoln Academy is ranked 27th, while Medomak Valley is ranked 19th). As for Oceanside, they will head out on the road to take on Belfast at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Belfast comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
