Mount de Sales Academy won the last time they faced Catholic and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Sailors came out on top against Catholic by a score of 9-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sailors.

Kat Wright and Maya Schipske did most of the damage at the plate: Wright got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Schipske went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs Wright has posted since back in March. Olivia Berger also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Mount de Sales Academy's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Catholic, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount de Sales Academy will challenge John Carroll at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Sailors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Catholic, they will take on Mercy at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Magic have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.75 runs per game on average), something Catholic will no doubt try to take advantage of.
