The Morgan County Bulldogs can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They skirted past Hephzibah 54-52. That's another feather in the cap for Morgan County, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Hephzibah still got an impressive performance from Traeon Brown, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Brown has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Brown, who scored 13 points.
Morgan County's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Hephzibah, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morgan County will face off against the Razorbacks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cross Creek presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bulldogs in Georgia (the Razorbacks are ranked 72nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 292nd). As for Hephzibah, they will head out on the road to challenge the Musketeers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
