The Wilsonville Wildcats had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They breezed by Forest Grove at home to the tune of 68-14. The result was nothing new for Wilsonville, who have now won six matches by 29 points or more so far this season.
Wilsonville was led to victory by Kallen Gutridge and Roman Kealoha. Gutridge threw for 227 yards and four touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes, while Kealoha rushed for 260 yards while picking up 14.4 yards per carry. Kealoha's longest rush was for an incredible 82 yards. Mark Wiepert also helped out with an impressive 104 receiving yards.
Wilsonville's win was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 7-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Forest Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wilsonville's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Canby at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Canby will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Forest Grove, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
