Given Tocoi Creek's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Bartram Trail is ranked 333rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tocoi Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Audrey Beyer, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Jasmine Valcin was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Tocoi Creek has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Bartram Trail, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tocoi Creek will take on Creekside at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bartram Trail, they will be playing at home against Beachside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Beachside is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games.
