The Yorkville Foxes will venture away from home to  square off against the Sycamore Spartans  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Yorkville will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
While Yorkville's  victory against Lemont wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Foxes won by a  run and slipped past the Lemont HS  2-1.
 Meanwhile,  after only two  runs in their last  contest, Sycamore made sure to put some  runs up on the board against Jacobs  on Friday. The Spartans blew past the Golden Eagles 12-3. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won 16 games by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 The  win made it two in a row for Sycamore and  bumps their season record up to 26-5-1. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4  runs in those games. As for Yorkville, their win bumped their record up to 21-11.
 Yorkville might still be hurting after the  7-1 defeat they got from Sycamore  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2024. Can the Foxes avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
