The Tullahoma Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Tullahoma will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
The home team had won the previous five meetings between Tullahoma and Community, and Tullahoma kept the tradition alive. The Wildcats never let the Vikings/Viqueens get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Friday.

Hunter Hogan and Andrew Fulmer made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Hogan pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Fulmer tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). At the plate, Hogan went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Fulmer went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mason Bratcher, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Shelbyville Central made easy work of Franklin County on Thursday and carried off an 8-2 victory. Considering the Golden Eagles have won 13 matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Tullahoma, Shelbyville Central also got a great game from a two-way player: Palmer Edwards. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Edwards has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two RBI.
In other batting news, William Bobo was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI. Stephen Bobo was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.
Shelbyville Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Franklin County only posted an OBP of .207.
Shelbyville Central is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Tullahoma, they pushed their record up to 24-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both Tullahoma and Shelbyville Central just can't seem to miss. The Wildcats have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Shelbyville Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Tullahoma skirted past Shelbyville Central 5-4 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
