Verona came tearing into Friday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Tomah Timberwolves. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Timberwolves, too.

Verona can attribute much of their success to Sophia Trias, who had eight digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Trias a new career-high.

Trias wasn't the only good server: Verona was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive games.

Verona's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Tomah, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Verona didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Brodhead on the 30th. Tomah has also already played their next matchup (against Portage), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
