Valley Oaks CES lost against East Valley back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vanguards took a 52-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. While the Vanguards didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Falcons 16-6 in the first quarter.
Abraham Discua threw for 30 yards. On the ground, German Miranda rushed for 347 yards and five scores while picking up 12.0 yards per carry.
Ramon Palafox was his usual excellent self, rushing for 184 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, while also picking up 52 receiving yards for East Valley. Those 184 rushing yards gave Palafox a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Giovanni Torres, who rushed for 74 yards and three TDs on only seven carries.
This is the second loss in a row for Valley Oaks CES and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for East Valley, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-4-1.
