The Burlington Christian Academy Royals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Forsyth Country Day, falling 58-9. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Burlington Christian Academy has scored all season.
Forsyth Country Day was led to victory by Lila Kelly and Gigi Lyons. Kelly scored 20 points, while Lyons scored 21 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Kelly has scored at least a third of Forsyth Country Day's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Kusnic, who scored six points.
Burlington Christian Academy dropped their record down to 1-8 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Forsyth Country Day, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.
Burlington Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against Cristo Rey Research Triangle at 5:30 p.m. Cristo Rey Research Triangle comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last eight games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Forsyth Country Day, they will head out on the road to take on High Point Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
