Francis Lewis lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Bayside, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's match. The Patriots put the hurt on the Commodores with a sharp 12-5 victory on Tuesday. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.

Eddy Lazar was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Espn Fan, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Francis Lewis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.4.

Francis Lewis is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Bayside, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-7.

Francis Lewis will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Commodores: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
