After flying high against Harrison on Wednesday, Shepherd came back down to earth. The Bluejays fell just short of the Bullock Creek Lancers by a score of 10-9 on Friday. The Bluejays' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Elise McDonald was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Schafer, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Shepherd's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Bullock Creek, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shepherd will square off against Frankenmuth on Saturday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Bluejays' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bullock Creek, they will face off against Evart at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
