The Rutland Hurricanes won the last time they faced the Kendrick Cherokees, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Rutland came out on top against Kendrick by a score of 52-42. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Rutland.
Leading Rutland to victory were Elijah Brooks and Keadon Knight. Brooks scored 15 points, while Knight scored 18 points.
Kendrick lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Caleb Giles, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and seven blocks. Omari Barron was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Rutland pushed their record up to 8-7 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Kendrick, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Jordan the next time they take the court. Rutland will host Jordan at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Kendrick will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
