Belmont found their leader in underclassman Khalil Luster, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds. The game was Luster's 12th in a row with at least ten points.
Phil Campbell bumped their record down to 4-11 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Belmont, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.
Phil Campbell will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Danville at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Belmont will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against New Site at 9:00 a.m. on December 27th. One thing working in New Site's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine games.
