Crooksville and Meadowbrook are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2022, but likely not for long. The Ceramics will face off against the Colts at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Crooksville 4, Meadowbrook 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Meadowbrook will be up against a hot Crooksville squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Ceramics blew past River View 12-5 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Ceramics, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Elyse Baker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Mylin Driggs was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Rylee Chamberlin was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs.
New Philadelphia typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Meadowbrook proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Quakers. Winning may never get old, but the Colts sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Addy Sichina made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Sichina was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Sommer Ginn was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Meadowbrook's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Crooksville, their record is now 14-3.
Crooksville might still be hurting after the 13-1 defeat they got from Meadowbrook in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Ceramics avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
