The Delaware Valley Warriors had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.7 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They beat Pittston by the very same score they won with last week: 42-7. Considering Delaware Valley has won six games by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Ryder Machado was his usual excellent self, rushing for 104 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries.
Delaware Valley's win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.3 points per game. As for Pittston, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Delaware Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Abington Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pittston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
